Nicole Markotić

Author of five poetry books, three novels, and a Young Adult novel, Nicole also writes critically about what she theorizes as the “problem body.” She has worked as a freelance editor, and edited several journal issues. In 2002, she was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Kiel in Germany and currently teaches Creative Writing at the University of Windsor. She is editor and publisher of the chapbook series Wrinkle Press.

Windsor sits on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, which includes the Ojibwa, the Odawa, the Potawatomi, and the Huron-Wendat peoples.

My Writing & Editing

I write fiction, poetry, critical essays, Young Adult, and children’s books. My aim is to reach a diverse audience through a shared love of language. I pride myself on my diverse writing styles, my teaching, my editing, and my work as a small-press editor.
